(from artist's statement):
My current paintings focus on the decomposition of the visceral,
the natural preservation that takes place, and of how the body then
becomes part of the landscape. Emotional resonance is achieved through
the physicality of paint application, muted color, and the vast expanse
of the landscape. These paintings appear as a frozen moment in time in
which they ground the viewer in the here and now.

JEANINE KINDLIEN
(from artist's statement): My work endeavors to reconnect with a deep sense of
mystery that I feel we have lost in the information age. I am interested in searching
out and exploring the shadows cast by all of our tidily defined 21st century
constructs. The brighter a thing is illuminated, the deeper the shade cast behind
it.

(from Artist's Statement): I’m still, and always will probably be a
work in progress. This is important I think; no artist should find
their plateau and stay there, it ends up taking all the personality
out of the work. I find my niches, but am inevitably changing and
improving.

(from Artist's Statement): I always love color and am inspired by
color of nature. Since I came from Japan, I have been enjoying
cultural and educational difference in art. Life in US made my
painting more enjoyable and vibrant.
