St. Paul, MN August 10th-September 3rd, opening reception August 10th, 6pm:  Thirty two paintings depicting a year in the life of artist, Amy R. Clark will be shown at the AZ Gallery in Lowertown.  AZ Gallery is located at 308 Prince Street, #130 in St Paul, MN  55101. Hours are F 5-8pm, Sat 10-2pm, Sun 10-2pm.  Private viewings can also be made by appointment with the artist.

Picasso states that, “Painting is just another way of keeping a diary.”  Amy R. Clark prefers to record her life also with paint instead of words, preferring the brilliance of light and color to reflect her emotions.  (She is also not much of a typist).   This collection of 32 acrylic and oil paintings cover the travels of the artist, from Ely to Minneapolis and day-to-day life in St. Paul.  Amy R. Clark teaches art and computer at St Peter Claver School.

"Her oil paintings are fresh, impressionistic, unself-conscious, straight forward, and colorful, depicting landscapes and landmarks around Minnesota."  M.E.
